Below you will find information on the most frequently asked questions we receive and have compiled that may help you troubleshoot any issues you may be experiencing or help answer questions you may have.

How soon will my account be set up?
Your new account will be set up and ready to use within 24 hours of submitting payment information. |

Do you allow adult content or warez?
Absolutely NOT. Adult websites, or websites used to host warez are not allowed on our servers and is a violation of our ToS. Spamming from your account is also a violation of our ToS.

Do you place advertisements on my sites?
No, we will never place any ad's on your sites. You are free to place your own advertisements on your site if you wish. |

Do you overcrowd your servers?
No, we will never place too many accounts on a single server. If the server becomes full, we will simply lease another server. |

Why don't you offer unlimited bandwidth?
Unlimited bandwidth does not exist! Bandwidth costs money and we simply cannot give it away. Other hosting company's claiming to offer unlimited bandwidth use that as a marketing scheme. Read the other host's ToS and you will see that unlimited is really limited. Our basic plan offers 5000 MB of bandwidth each month. This is usually more than enough for an average webpage. |

Why can't I send Email?
Our servers require that you check E-mail before sending it. This is set up like this for security reasons. Also, check out our How To section on setting up Outlook Express. |

How do I check my webmail?
To check your webmail from any computer with internet access, point your browser to http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail. You can also log in to your webmail from our webpage. Your username is username@yourdomain.com |

How do I FTP to your server?
Our recommended FTP clients are, CuteFTP and WS_FTP.
To login to FTP use: ftp.yourdomain.com
The username is username@yourdomain.com

Why wont my username work?
Your username must be username@yourdomain.com in order to work.
This is also true for webmail and POP3 mail. |

My domain hasn't resolved yet. How can I login?
If your domain has not resolved to point to our servers, then you may still login with the servers IP address. 207.44.168.9 |

What folder do I upload to?
You will need to upload your website to the 'mainwebsite_html' folder.
All CGI scripts will need to go in the 'mainwebsite_cgi' folder.
These are aliases for /var/www/html and /var/www/cgi-bin respectively |

Do you support Microsoft FrontPage 2000/2002?
Yes, we do. If you require FrontPage extensions for your website and have a hosting plan that supports them. Email us at support@virtualvox.com and we will enable them on your account. |

What is the path to perl?

Why do I get a 500 error when I access my cgi scripts?
Check to make sure that you have uploaded them in ASCII mode.
Also, check the permissions on the file. Permissions can not be any higher than 755. |

Where is the control panel?
Your control panel is located at http://controlpanel.virtualvox.com/
Any users that you create will have their own control panel to use and that is located at http://controlpanel.virtualvox.com/ and Click on UserAdministrator image. |

Help! I lost my password and I can't login.
Don't worry, If you e-mail support we will reset your password for you and email you the new one. Then you can login to the control panel and change it to anything you like. |
